Recycled Instrument Making / Junk Instruments

Anything can make a sound!

Participants will be encouraged to collect a range of found objects and the session will explore the potential for developing and building instruments out of the objects. The session will explore creative development as well as giving guidance on making some more traditional percussion instruments with an option to develop them into a piece of music or junk percussion orchestra.

Performance can be integrated into the process from the well-known STOMP musical idea of sweeping brushes to clashing bin lids and buckets.
