Batik

Using the basis of traditional Javanese batik techniques as a starting point, participants will be introduced to using the Tjunting tools to create their own designs either as individual pieces or as a larger scale banner in a group.

The fabric dyes will then be applied into the areas created and if time allows, further layers of wax can be layered followed by applying different colours to create textural effects.
