Afro-Brazilian Samba Drumming

Experience the sounds of the infamous Brazilian Carnival!

This is an energetic, loud and fun workshop where participants will learn to play rhythms from the streets of Brazil using the traditional Samba instruments consisting of a range of large and small drums and hand held percussion instruments.

They will learn specific rhythms in groups as well as following visual and aural cues including 'breaks' and 'call and response'.

This workshop can also be used with the street carnival dance workshop where the musicians play live for the dancers! A great way to develop a performance or a carnival procession.
