Salsa Dance - The Soul Salsa Dance Group

Highly energetic and fun, guaranteed to get the whole body moving!

The infectious sounds of Cuban Salsa music will form the background to learning the basic steps that make up salsa dance. Working with step patterns in a line in time with the music as a start to developing partner work, leading and following a series of turns.

The dance of Salsa and Merengue will be explored and guarantee to get everyone moving and grooving!

There is an option to combine this with Salsa music introducing the styles and techniques of Salsa music as well as learning percussion rhythms that create the irresistible swing of Salsa.

Sessions could be one-off taster sessions or developmental regular sessions. There is an option to focus on the music and percussion of salsa as well as dance. Staff training and entertainment for functions are also available.

Performances are available with the Soul Salsa dance group

Age suitability: 8+

Space Requirements: A large open space. e.g a school hall.

Staffing: A member of staff must be present at all times during the workshop and be responsible for the behaviour of the group.
