Mask Making

Discover age old traditions and bring characters to life.

The workshops will explore issues of cultural and personal identity and story telling in order to develop characters for masks. Traditional masks from a range of cultures will be used as a basis to develop work.

Depending on the time available and abilities a range of materials may be used.

 

Details:

Numbers of participants: ideally 12-15 but could be larger if adequate space and additional staff support.

Age suitability: age 6+

Space Requirements: A room suitable for arts activities with tables and chairs, basic equipment eg pencils, scissors, rubbers would be useful although these will also be provided.

Staffing: A member of staff must be present at all times during the workshop and be responsible for the behaviour of the group and a relevant number of staff assistants required to help with cutting etc if necessary.
