Street, Samba, African, Caribbean Carnival Dance

Highly energetic and action packed, this is guaranteed to get everyone going!

The workshops focus on a range of dance styles for male and females exploring movements such as the shimmying samba, energetic and frenetic African moves, processional dance and acrobatics, break- dance, spins and street dance. Participants will be introduced to a range of styles and then encouraged to develop their own movements in groups to form a larger choreography. Enthusiasm and energy is inspired throughout

Options: Sessions could be one-off taster sessions or developmental regular sessions. These workshops could lead to a static performance perhaps combined with live drumming e.g Samba. Or be part of a carnival procession. They are ideal for developing confidence in movement.
