Why arts based training works

• Making music through ensemble percussion is the most direct and effective way to energise a group of people and help them work together to achieve a common goal.

These percussion workshops are based either on the loud and energetic music of Brazilian Samba drumming, ideal as an energiser or the beautiful sounding and visually stunning instruments of the Javanese Gamelan from Indonesia, incorporating a reflective learning model taking on board aspects of cultural and social respect and identity as part of the learning process. The Big Bang project uses Samba drumming as a basis for fuelling Recycling focussed initiatives where discarded objects in and around the workplace are transformed into instruments and put together to create a mass percussion ensemble. A Cuban Salsa dance workshop will have everyone up and dancing - a great team work exercise and ice breaker or just pure entertainment! Art Beat believes in working directly with the client to ensure that the event is tailor made to suit individual needs and the above is only a guide of the projects we can offer. The workshops are led by an experienced facilitator who is also a coah and certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner. These training techniques enrich the benefits of the arts activities.
